The Master of Public Health (MPH) program at Drexel University's Dornsife School of Public Health – Philadelphia's top school of public health – prepares students to make an impact by addressing tough public health challenges in the United States and around the world. Integrated and interdisciplinary from day one, Dornsife’s Executive Master in Public Health (EMPH) Program is a 21-month program designed for individuals who are committed to advancing their careers and acquiring the knowledge and tools to advance to leadership roles in public health. The program builds on each student's former education, work experience, and skills, whether they are already working in public health or seeking a career change. Dornsife's Executive MPH program is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).

EMPH Seminar
EMPH students take a cohort-specific seminar in the first year. This allows for EMPH students to build relationships as a cohort, reflect on and integrate their academic coursework, and learn from additional Drexel faculty and external partners. The EMPH Seminar meets for a full day six times over the course of the year.

Elective Courses
Following a set of required courses, students will choose from a variety of electives based on their academic and professional goals. Students may opt to focus their electives in a particular area or take a broad range of courses. The EMPH Academic Advisor will work with each student to design a plan of study.

Capstone Course
In the second year, students take a Capstone Course, which integrates the themes and concepts they have worked on throughout the program.
Program Dates
On-campus courses will meet on 6 Fridays per year (One Friday in October/November, January/February, April/May). No on-campus activity during the summer quarter. In addition, there will be an on-campus orientation session in September; online participation will be accommodated if necessary.
